Together, they evade the Terminator's pursuit while developing a bond.

As the chase intensifies, the Terminator systematically eliminates individuals named Sarah Connor, causing panic and chaos. Sarah and Kyle realize they must take drastic measures to defend themselves and stop the Terminator. They plan an assault on a Cyberdyne Systems factory, where the advanced AI technology that will eventually create Skynet is developed.

In a climactic battle, Sarah and Kyle manage to disable the Terminator, but it proves to be far from defeated. The Terminator relentlessly pursues them until they trap it in a hydraulic press, seemingly destroying it. However, a post-credit scene reveals the arm and microchip of the Terminator are recovered by Cyberdyne Systems, setting the stage for future events.
