“The : Turbo!” is an upgraded version of the original “The Journeyman Project” that was first released in 1992. It's a time travel adventure video game developed by Presto Studios and distributed by Sanctuary Woods.

In the game, players control a character named Gage Blackwood, an agent of the Temporal Security Agency (TSA) in the year 2318. The TSA's mission is to prevent time travel technology from being used to alter history.

The story kicks off when a malevolent cyborg from the future, codenamed “Elliot Sinclair”, illegally uses a time machine to go back in time and sabotage the development of the deep space exploration, thus altering the timeline. Sinclair's goal is to prevent the peaceful contact between humanity and an alien species known as the “Cyrrollans”, which eventually leads to the formation of an interstellar peacekeeping body known as the Symbiotry of Peaceful Beings.

Blackwood's task is to travel back in time to the original events and ensure that history remains unchanged. This adventure takes players through various periods in time, from the Prehistoric Age to the world of tomorrow, to repair the alterations and restore the timeline.

“The Journeyman Project: Turbo!” improved on the original by speeding up the game's performance, improving graphics, and smoothing the animations, making it a more immersive experience overall. It retained the original's full-motion video sequences and interactive puzzles that have to be solved in order to progress through the game.
